Heartland Incubation Hub is established to solve the problem of the inadequate support structure, mentorship system for incubating, or developing business ideas by young people in south-east Nigeria. It provides capacity and skills in lean start-ups methodology, Business modeling, access to finance, cash flow management, and marketing, while they go through rapid prototyping and piloting.

They also receive administrative and legal assistance in incorporating businesses and can meet and work with fellow entrepreneurs, pitch their ideas to investors, interact with experienced business advisors, brand advertisers, and leading marketers through meetups such as #ImoStartUpFriday. Creating African Success Stories. HIH provides support for top startups at the most critical stage. This is demonstrated through training, access to mentorships and funds, and co-working space. As a result of fewer intervention opportunities in the South East, the co-working space gradually grew to be the fulcrum for building the community within the Hub.
